Thanks people. I dodn't mean to start a debate though. Basically, the plaster on the wall in question needs replacing anyway because it's all bubbled and blistered at the bottom so I'm going to have to do it regardless. I may as well follow the Dpc firms guidelines too and if it doesn't work...
