i have also observed the flame spark electrode continuing to spark after the flame has ignited which is now really pushing me towards the p.c.b. they are really expensive though so might go for a new boiler as would be gutted if i pay over £200 for a p.c.b and then start to encounter more...

it doesnt stay on long enough to gas rate it! it is now only about 20 seconds and then it goes off. ive veiwed another post by someone from a couple of years ago and it seems like the same problem as mine.

thanks for the replys guys it has helped me out alot. replaced the flow thermistor or as might be nown the c.h probe and that has done the trick. and tony you are a real character, not everybody is a non corgi registered cowboy! there are many out there but i am not one, i am recently qualified...

is the blocked heat exchanger a common problem as the boiler is only a few months old? and what would sort that problem out? a power flush maybe! thanks

hi, i have a ariston microgenus 28 and the boiler has locked out and is showing fault code e06 which is saying c.h temperature probe in open circuit! dose this mean that the probe will need replacing and how do i check if it is faulty with my multi meter? thanks

if i was to check the resistance on both thermistors cold, what should i expect to find if the thermistors are working ok? also what should i set my multimeter too?

yes pipes get hot and rads start to heat up. it does not happen when running the d.h.w !
