    Now I feel I have some of you baffled :oops: ...Sorry, but I have hot water with it wired this way. That would seem that the element is ok? Tell me to call an electrician I know I know, hate it when things get the better of me, even If I do call another one out in the end.

    Yes, theres fuses for ALL the electrics in the house: ie..sockets dowstairs, upstairs ect. Its wired to the "Immersion Heater's" 20 AMP fuse

    I have now wired the main thermosat straight to the RCD. Neither that nor the MCB has tripped? Boost thermostat has also been tested this way, same result, no trips, but, I just had a thought....should my hot water timer/control have more than a 13 amp fuse?

    No I'm sorry :( . It's tripping the wider RCD. Forgive me for being slightly brain dead :oops: .

    I hope someone can help as I'm not sure where to post this topic. I have currently had an "unvented" pressurised water cylinder fitted. (Santon : 2x 3kw, 170 Litres. This cylinder has replaced our old gravity fed tank working on Economy 7 switch, which was installed with our night storage...
