At present stripping paint from door surrunds and skirtings by using hot air gun with scraper,after removing surface paint there appears to be a grey/black residue left. Any ideas as to removal of residue in order to restore grain of wood.

at present stripping wooden sash cord window,cords will be replaced,however unable to ascertain how one is supposed to remove side pocket on window frame to access counterweight. The side pocket has minimal side to side movement and looks like it may lever free but on trying this it will not...

Have recently moved house kitchen appliances within included Hoover Logic 1100 washing machine and hotpoint Iced Diamond freezer.Both of which are working,however the manual/handbooks for both are missing.Any kind person out there have any copies of same? Thank you
