the waste comes down into the room then runs across the back is doesnt go any lower than 8" untill it leaves the room,

Hi Guys, trying to fit a shower but the soil pipe runs across the back of the room approx 8" off the floor, do i need to get a pump wired to the shower to pump the waste up into the soil pipe or do i have to get the shower tray higher than the pipe? Thanks in advance
