It is a moulded 3 pin plug so i think i'm ok to just plug in and turn on.

A 2kw electric fire. I was hoping to plug it directly into a 13 amp fuse socket i have already but the appliance came with a molded plug i can't alter.

I know it fits but it's just a normal plug socket - there is no 13 amp in the socket itself - just in the plug

Is it ok to plug an electrical appliance (which is fitted with a molded 13 amp plug) into a normal plug socket or does it also need a special 13 amp socket as well?
