sorry i had to remave the valves from the main pipe work as they were stuck onto the pump to tight to work on them in place so didnt have to close them in first place.

If you mean isolation valves there wernt any had to drain the system completely just to get the old pump off

ohh forgot to mention that the expansion tank is filling up with hot water from the system every time the banging occurs

Hi there my plunmber mate hasnt got time hes sflat out constantly and he is just as tumped which is why he said just turn it into sealed system. Cost is a slight factor but if needs must we will get another plumber in but if anything it has me intriguid as to why after 13 years of working...
