    I am considering pulling the floor up, it will be more disruptive but a better finish I think...... But if I go for floating I'll stick some ply down like you say , hopefully it'll be less boingy

    Ok here goes... I have a Victorian wood floor, joists on brick courses. Not enough space for crawling , but ventilation seems ok. Then floorboards, a bit tatty, has been cut about for central heating electrics etc. it's cold so I want to insulate. Should I lay insulation, ( what type ) Then...
