@DP When Boiler switched on, No. "7" displays; quickly replaced by "d" (burner heats water in small reservoir); once up to temp the display shows "0". All the above appears to be working as it normally does.... just that the heating comes on and stops on! Does this help or mean anything to you?

I will let the system stand overnight (all turned off) then switch on and go through your procedure again, with a fresh head. At least we've got a "C" showing on the boiler now... even though it shouldn't be there as I've removed the batteries from the Stat again?!? Fingers crossed by going...

I know Ideal Boilers don't appear to have a good name or reputation.... but touching wood (my head).... we've been really pleased (lucky) with ours:cautious: to date at least, lol:LOL:
