I have attended an ACE HIGH combi and the fault I have is that it will go through the start-up sequence, the burner strikes up then after about 2 secs it drops out and the 'Power' LED (green) flashes and needs to be manually reset.
I have gone to the manual and can find no reference to flashing...
Hi I have the same
on my Novatronic 520
Can someone tell me where to find the pcb in question please. I have the lid off and the front panel off and the main control board out (that was a game!) but am beginning to think I am barking up the wrong tree.
Please help!! :(
Yep, pump is free.
If I came to the job fresh I would suspect PCB (have replaced plenty as most of us have), but on re-filling, the boiler ran DHW first off but stopped when CH run.
:?:
With ollski, we have an estate with about 100, record so far, 4 in two weeks last year! have been caught out as above caution but no huge problem as board can stay in van.
Funnily enough, ordered one today, just remembered!!
Right, I know these are probably the worst boilers many will come across.
I have an L9 fault
Pressure good.
Vented of air
Pump is only receiving 40ish volts! (loom checked with pump disconnected) So I know pump will not turn, and hence why L9 but why low voltage.
Boiler had not been...
Don't rush into a new pcb (though it could easily be). some times ancillary components will 'kill' the display and when disconnected it will re-appear. Try disconnecting thermistors and other ancills. Obviously kill power before fishing around. if not, probably the board.
May not be able to...
I think what i shall have to do is try the by-pass on the dhw and 3 zones after the pump with the boiler operated pump and have the other 3 zones operated by the zone valve switches (which are t/stat controlled).
thanks for all the help, first time i've visited the forum and i can't believe the...
Paul, all of what you have said has gone through my mind, my only concern is that if the 'bypassed' circuit is the one controlled by the boiler it will always be on even when the boilers zones are not calling; would this have the effect of the return temp getting hot too quickly and operating...
i have a system which requires 2 pumps (trying to make good some poor diy work)
the system has 7 zones (6 ch, 1 dhw) and i need to split 3/4 using 2 pumps to overcome excessive circuit resistance.
there is a new 40CDi conv and as i'm sure you know these control the pump and this is...
