i used biro just to mark out where i was gonna paint the border, im not using wall paper border Cheers for advice , i'll see if it works xx

Hi folks, i'm new to this site. Can anybody tell me why paint won't cover biro pen marks? i've been painting the kitchen & marked border in biro, i painted 3coats, woke up 2day & the pen mark was bright as anything. Does this always happen? :?
