hi there is power there but before i mentined the 3 way valve was working but its not will this stop the boiler fireing

i have just found out that the 3 way valve is not working would this stop the boiler firing up

hi mick, yes there is 240 at the gas valve. my screw driver lite up

with my tester where do i test on the valve please

hi thanks for the quick response. yes the pump is working and my mate told me to listen the the silver valve and it makes a noise when i turn from hot water to heating

Good morning all, i have an old potterton boiler (sorry dont no the modle there are no signs of it anywhere) and the piolt light is on but when i turn the thermostste up and put the timer on constant it does not fire up.

it has not got one but i am pulling my hair out now with it not working

how do i check its calling for heat please

the boiler is a potterton performa 24. There is power at the boiler as when i turn it on the pump is running but the fan does not come in.

my combi boiler will not start so i changed the air swithch, and the pcb, and the diaphram but to no avail. i have checked the fan and it spins but there is not power to it or from the wires from the pcb to the fan . any ideas anyone its prob some more simple that i dont no

thank you but the boiler surely should not light at very low pressue ?

changed the diaphram and the hot water is fine thank-you. but the intermittant is still there. I also noticed that the boiler is working with only .2 of a bar. i thougth this could not happen. please tell me could this be the firing problem too.

can the gas valve adjust its self because it was working fine
