Only had my 98 zetec 1.6 cab for just over a month, a week ago i was driving at night and i noticed my headlights were out and my dash lights were off, my rev counter had dropped to 0. Revs seem ok in standstill/neutral. any further advice would be appreciated.

the clutch doesn't slip, the engine sounds fine with no smoke and the milage is 89,500. I've not tried seeing if the revs go to the top in standstill but will try it shortly, but in motion i haven't seen the revs pass 4000 on the counter. Thanks for your replies!!!!
