When asking about the other wire, for the water conditioner, it made me think to just remove it to simplify the wiring incase that was causing the issue, well it was. Haven't touched the timer wiring and it seems to be working.
Yep. I still have heating, it's just currently only controlled via putting the timer to constant or setting the timer, instead of course via the Hive controls.
I've only just got home this evening so am yet to try the other suggestion of connecting the 2 black wires at the timer together to...
Those go to a 'water conditioner'. It was on the boiler when we bought the house and wired into where the previous thermostat was connected. I just left them in when adding the Hive
The black cable is the power feed for the boiler, that goes to a 13amp plug nearby.
Hi, I've read numerous threads on here about this subject and used them to wire in a Hive mini but I'm having issues with it not activating the boiler.
