Did it, took inner cover plate off, the switch holder had just un-clipped itself, made sure the switch was clicked into place and then re-clipped the switch socket back into its rightful place, then put together again. cheers for the advice, mate.

Hello, new to the forum with a problem. I was changing a starter switch on my kitchen tube light, simple job I've done many a time. But disaster struck and the fitting which the starter slots and rotates into has "pushed through" and it now loose inside the housing of the tube light. any advice?
