have a vokera HE COMPACT.water running hot for 5 mins then cold then hot any ideas.think it might be thermostat?

this one dosn,t. not an old boiler but rest of system about 40years old. old farm house didn,t used to be conected to mains when boiler instaled .got water from a tank in feild so not much pressure thats all i know just doing them a favour.

put in new loft tank feeding worster oil combi. now when central heating is on not very much hot water. when water heater is on itself plenty of hot water? any ideas would help thankyou.
