But old bulb is an incandescent type, and I bought a Philips Spiral CFL and it is this that has a large terminal that doesn't seem to make a contact in the fitting. Is it possible that other brands will have a smaller more pointed terminal?
Update: fixed the problem by bending the terminal...
The bulb I'm trying to replace is an ES screw fit bulb, and the one I bought to replace it isn't working. I've noticed that the terminal at the tip of the bulb is much smaller diameter than the one on the replacement bulb. I've searched google and cannot find any explanation as to why there...
