Think we were quite lucky with the cost, but the same plumber has been out at least three times before in the last 6 months to sort out problems.

Hi. Thanks for info. Plumber came out tonight and replaced valve. Said that the spindle inside had sheered off so valve flapping about and not switching between CH and HW. Cost us another £50 :( Hope it's a long-term fix!
