The fan is alive!!! Cheers again.

No window. ( dont know why) Built on the cheep. Lovely place though. Ill just have to keep the door and light on for 10 minutes.

The cable coming out of the wall has an earth, but the fan doesn't. so ive used blocks to isolate the earth and Permanent live. Cheers for you help guys this is wicked!!! :D

Thanks for that mate. so i connect the switch live on the cable into the permanent live on the fan and neutral as normal. Then maybe use scotch blocks on to the earth and permanent on the cable to isolate them.

Hi Guys My old fan had burnt out and the cable coming out if the wall and fan had a neutral, permanent live and switch live. The new one my landlord pick up one that has only a permanent live and neutral. Can i wire the permanent and switch live together so it turns on and off with the light...
