I looked into the potterton boiler...it is not fully modulating like a modern day condensing boiler. The potterton only has three levels and so cuts out if temperature quite low. I ended up changing boiler to a worcester green star 30cdi.
Not spotted any signs of water leaking out....most of pipes contained.
This is going to be difficult to find if it depends on observation alone.
What I don't get is the fact the leak could be elsewhere on the system and still working its way to the top radiator....well I do but don't...
Ok so say I have a microleak is there a way I can diagnose it?
The pipwork to the radiator that gets air in is behind the wall and all soldered. I think it tees off the main run and is the first on the system?
Most of the radiators are switched on to max so could I turn off the valves to...
Three years ago we had the boiler changed to a worcestor 30Cdi. Condensing Boiler. We had a Magnaclean fitted the following year. At the time of fitting the new boiler we had the system flushed.
Only started to notice it this year maybe due to the demand on the heating due to the cold...
marshallman - did you sort your trickling problem? did it settle down?. we have had two expensive stelrad vertical radiators fitted that are making the same noise only been on once or twice at the minute since being fitted?
It very strangely went. I turned all the wifi equipment off in the house and took the batteries out of the transmitter then turned of the boiler for 10 minutes.
I turned the boiler back on and went through the manual as if putting a new transmitter back onto the system. I also replaced the...
I take it you managed to sort the problem out. I am having the exact same problem except for different boiler locations. What did you do to solve the problem...its driving me mad.
Thanks
funny you should say scaled up as when they were fitting the bathroom the engineers said that it sounded a slight bit bangy but i have never heard it. flow hasn't dropped to my knowledge.is there any truth in this "hunting" theory? hope its not the TM....if it is whats the resolve for that? the...
i have a potterton 810e puma fitted it is 6-7 years old. it is under homecare aggrement with bg. recently we have had problems with the hot water being very hot..so hot you can't keep your hand under it. bg came out and looked at the problem and changed the dhw and ch sensors and said that was...
really baffles me this one tried varying the temp knob at different levels but it doesn't make much difference to the actual temp coming from say the sink tap. the boiler is 6 yrs old now and is a potterton puma 810e it has recently had the temp sensors changed by bg who said that as the problem...
