Hi my niece pulled a curtain rail down and made a hole in the wall. What’s the best thing to refill the damaged hole? I was going to fill it with something and then drill extra long holes once the said product had “gone off” would expanding foam work ? Or is there a rock like filler ?

How do I do that when the old joist is in a pocket ?

How do you put new joists into existing brick pockets ? The pocket is the size of the joist that’s already in. It has gone rotten. How do you put new joists in without hangers or ledgers ?

Could I sister these joists instead ?

It’s a floor in a terraced house bathroom

The length of the joists are 2 metres plus the pocket recesses each side . They are very rotten on one side where the toilet leaked on them for years it seems. What’s the easiest way to fix these two ? The others seem ok to be fair.
