It was fully defrosted i can assure you, it started working fine again, that build up there has happened in the last 2 weeks!

So, in the hope someone responds, this is what the back looks like after being back working for 3 weeks, cant get the panel off completely as it goes up behind the icemaking equpment, cant locate the fan to ascertain its faulty, or indeed to replace if thats the issue, anyone out there got...

Just reopening this thread in the hope someone replies, so, my fridgefreezer started working perfectly again after i followed your various bits of advice re total defrost and clean(fridge was nice and cold, freezer freezing perfectly again, but alas the wife was not convinced last night, so...

Awh jeez im getting confused now lol, hey, the one in the freezer must be behind the ice making and crushing equipment, cant get that back panel off seemly without removing it all, i left it running for 2 hours since the full defrost and a bottle of wine was semi frozen!! Il say a few prayers...

So, ive took the grill off at the back, switched it in and this fan is turning, is this the fan we are talking about?...

Thanks very much for the advice, tbh when i switch the freezer on for a moment to try and hear the fan the sound of it switching into its freeze mode is noisy, but pretty sure i cant hear it , its a daewoo frs-u20 dci

So, on this model, do i access the fan motor from behind the fridgefreezer or is it behind the ice maker at the top, im pretty sure there is no fan noises coming from it when i switch it on, tyia

Do i have to access that from the back?

Thats what i see behind the backing, where is the fan please

So, there is still a bit of ice around the element behind that backing, but not much, where do i access the fan
