Having slept on it I can confirm that you are not wrong about it being uncomfortable. It was no ball on that machine I can tell you and I got the needle about 2am when I tried to roll over. But in the round and bearing in mind your comments I think the machine's fate at least is now sealed...

I have a 5-6 year old Whirlpool AWG 384. During spin cycle bearing in drum makes noise a bit like Concorde taking off. Actually makes same noise when drive removed and spun manually. Replace bearing - simple? Don't know if it is simple or not. Also there has been odd black mark left on...
