    Mains water flush

My issue is the boiler is acting differently than it was before i removed a rad. Previously i turn the CH, rads get hot on and it stays on until i turn it off. Removed a rad. Refit. Bleed. Turn CH on and radiators get hot but now it turns off itself, then cools and then turns on again and so on...

Thanks for the insight. No you are absolutely right. I have never sat infront of my boiler and just sat there looking at it

    Mains water flush

I will check again tomorrow and use a thermal camera so i can read them all quickly and check how hot each gets. Are you saying that it should cycle then on and off when the central heating is on? I only suspect something is wrong as it didnt do this prior to removing a rad. I probs need to...

    Mains water flush

It takes about 10 maybe 15 mins to get warm to the touch. The towel rads get hotter quicker. When i say knocks off i just mean that it switches off the heating with no faults or anything. The boiler water temp then goes down to about 60 degrees and then fires up the heating again. Sometimes it...

    Mains water flush

I am confused as to how removing a rad and bleeding it back can cause the boiler to start cycling. I didnt change anything on the boiler etc. Could it be balancing issue?? The hot water return seems rather hot, similar to the flow temp but id need to confirm it with a thermal camera from work...

    Mains water flush

Yes they all get hot. I thought the issue was related to the return leg of that rad because after i fitting it back, thats when the issue started with the boiler cycling. It was wprking perfect before.

    Mains water flush

They all get hot but some rooms arent getting warmed up enough because the boiler knocks off before they get chance too. I turned up the CH dial to full and it does the same but obvsiously it heats the water up longer to 82 i think then cuts off and fires up again 2 mins later for a 5, maybe 10...

    Mains water flush

Yes to all of the above. Since the rad went back on the boiler just gets to temp then cuts off. Before it just stayed on until i knocked it off on the boiler

    Mains water flush

Spot on. Thanks for the reply. Fingers crossed something comes out. If its crystal clear then i can only imagine a powerflush is needed. Trying to make sure something small isnt fixed by going all in on a powerflush

The return leg off the rad i think is slightly restricted. When i last opened it, it wasnt a strong pressure

    Mains water flush

On my Turbomax, i am wanting to mains flush the return leg of a radiator in an upstairs bedroom. I removed the rad a bit ago to decorate and immediately the boiler started cutting off after reaching the temp set on the boiler. I suspect that some sludge or crud has got into the leg as quite a...

    Cycling issues

I didnt make any changes to any settings. Just turned it off. Drained and then bled the radiator. Fired up and now i have this issue. A friend who is a plumber has said it is almost definately got a blocked or sludge somewhere restricting the return flow and causing the boiler to get too hot. It...
