I am in the process of running a new uprated shower cable from the shower's DP switch back to the consumer unit. Due to the fact I am using 16mm cable (9.5kw shower, but the local CEF only had 16mm in stock, so let me have it for the price of 10mm) I cannot route it the way the original cable...

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Airlock was the culprit. Loosened the vent screw above the hot water cylinder and a large gush off air came out. Water is now piping hot again. Many thanks to all that replied :lol:

hi. i think ive seen the vent, just a knurled nut. do i just open it and wait for air to escape?. heating on or off while doing this ?

3 port valve was only replaced last year. valve is moving when thermosat calls for heat / water
