MrAbattoir, yes, you would think they'd stop the auto update. I have been told by WB that all being well, a hotfix will hopefully be released by the end of this week.
Called WB today and have been promised their tech colleagues in Holland are close to releasing a firmware update to fix the pump issue. Watch this space...
James, I see no reason why it won't update! Sorry
If I don't get an update fix for mine by the end of the week, I'll be looking for the WB complaints dept telephone number.
Never received a call back from WB wave specialist, but had the usual friendly engineer visit this morning. He says he's been advised that it's probably a wave algorithm issue. He thinks WB may revert all waves to the old software, I guess until the software issue can be resolved. Fingers Crossed!
I'm on 02.19.01 and the pump continues to run 24/7. I work from home in a converted garage office where the boiler is also situated, so by manually lowering the wave temperature by 1ºc from it's set temp, it turns the pump off and I can work in peace.
Jreb, you seem to be on to something and it makes perfect sense that the Software update is at fault (I'm on 02.19.01). It did seem odd that the new wave instantly worked and then 1 week later the pump fault re-occured. I have just called WB to find out when the latest update happened and how...
Thanks MrAbattoir! I had a new pump last year as part of the service. It might be the PCB, but as it's guaranteed, may as well book in another engineer visit. Just noticed the Wave is struggling to get up to the set temperature today, same issue?! Look forward to hearing any WB updates and if...
I'm also having trouble with my Worcester boiler pump and Wave thermostat. Very recently the pump started to continuously run during the day (I work from home, office in the same room as boiler). A Worcester engineer visited and assumed it to be the weather compensation feature on the app, but...
