Many thanks for all your help. Problem was the oil pump. After fitting a new nozzle the old pump was too worn out to push oil through it. New oil pump has sorted it. brian

Just moved into a house with oil fired CH/HW boiler. Just had the boiler serviced and now it will not fire up when I turn up the room thermostat. Boiler will start when I use reset button attached to it. Also, even though the boiler does not fire up when told to by the room thermostat the pump...
