Ok, thanks for the help. I will leave it for the time being. I get the feeling that taking the roof off, and replacing eveything would be rather expensive, and as the felt roof is in very good condition, I cannot see any danger of it leaking in the near future. Peter.

It's all a bit strange, because the roof is not leaking and the felt is in very good nick. I get the feeling that whoever put the felt on, neglected to put new boards in. What is the best course of action for that? What will happen if I just leave it for a while? Peter.

I am no expert on these things, all that I know is when I stand on the roof, whatever is underneath the felt, moves up and down. I'm not sure what else I can add to this. Peter.
