Had a similar problem years ago and ended up buying a roll of polystyrene about 3mm thick the type you put under wallpaper (not sure if you can still buy it) pasted it to the wall and no more problems.

Thanks, have marked on the pic, roof line, i would be intending to cut the cladding back to the breeze block underneath both the plastic and wooden cladding, the blocks are 55 mm back from the face of the plastic, so as you suggest i would have to try and keep as close as possible to the roof...

Can anybody tell me if i can remove the collar ties in my roof space i have 4 of these along the length of the roof, if not remove, can i modify them so i can walk down the centre of my loft without having to duck under the collar ties. cheers
