    Integrated washing machine - size

Hi all. I need a new integrated washing machine. My current hoover one is 530 deep. The picture in the manual however shows 570. The spec though is 530. The new ones seem to be 540. I'm a bit worried as there isn't much space to push it further back but in the manuals for the 540 deep ones...

Radiator not heating but in pipe ROASTING!

Thanks, there is heat after the valve on the left, it's just not in the radiator... I was wondering if it was that white bit I've labelled tepid?

Radiator not heating but in pipe ROASTING!

Hi Folks, I have the problem of feed pipe being nice and warm (roasting actually) but the radiator being cold, I've bled as much as I can and it's just water coming out of it now. Any ideas on how I should go about fixing please? Thanks in advance.

    Should I fill the gap?

Hi All, I took the skirting off to fit an Ikea PAX wardrobe flush to the wall and noticed a large gap between the plaster board and floor. The gap is about an inch. Do you think this should be filled or left as is? I was worried about a draft and a potential for damp as it's against an outside...

Wardrobes flush against wall that backs to outside

Thanks folks. Do you think if I left the skirting on ( about 15 mm deep ) that would provide enough of a air gap or is there not going to be enough air flow there? I should add I have cavity wall insulation in the wall that this is backing on to - for what that's worth :/

Wardrobes flush against wall that backs to outside

Hi folks, I am fitting wardrobes in an L shape in a room with one of the walls that the wardrobes will be on being against the outside. Should I be concerned about this for damp / mould reasons? I've no reason to believe the wall is damp but I remember in an old house a bookcase I had against...

    Sealing gap under skirting

Thanks, that's a good point. I was wondering if I should leave the skirting boards to give a bit of an air gap to help with mold as I am putting them against an outside wall?

Best way to fill gap under skirting - before carpet

I was thinking about sealing the gap and created a different thread. I was wondering whether a gap was good to allow the room to breathe a bit? I had carpet bug larvae escape into the gap, hence I was wanting to seal.

    Sealing gap under skirting

I recently ripped up my carpet in preparation for a new one. I noticed a few carpet beetle larvae. I caught most of them but one escaped under a gap in the skirting board. There is about 3mm gap between the bottom of the skirting and the floorboard. I was wondering if sealing under the...

Ademco control panel stopped setting properly

I wonder about this Zone 8 when I don't have a zone 8. Any ideas why that could be saying it is tripping? Thanks.
