Thanks. I was concerned about the garden draining. I should have explained that I need the garage dry, no damp/ moisture whatsoever and somewhat warm...say lowest temp to be 8-10 degrees. so it will be heated The reason for insulating outside is to avoid loosing any internal space.

Thanks gents. I was able to programme the shock sensor to do both but had to space out the small contact on the opening part of the window from the contact on the frame. Allowing for clearance for the window to open, they are to far apart so is doesn't pick up the window opening. They are just...
