My relative has a system boiler which operates fine.(Vokera) When the boiler is cold the pressure on the gauge drops to zero so naturally you would think there is a leak so top it up to 1bar pressure however if you put more than a cup full in when the boiler fires and it begins to heat up the...
There is no immersion fitted so its not that. The boiler water within the primary coil can only be controlled by totally switching off the flow of water around the cylinder at the divertor valve . This is achieved by the programmer telling the valve to close,in our case this works perfectly.The...
Checked that already Alan and the valve operates fine, i have come to the conclusion that the thermostat is faulty and isnt switching off when it reaches the set temperature.looks like new thermostat time.
Its definitely not the thermal control on the boiler if I turn that down the water cools . The boiler has been set midway for years and gives us loads of water .the problem is at the Megaflo.
Thanks for your reply. My system is an indirect one with the cylinder heated indirectly through the gas boiler , what you are describing is a direct cylinder installation. Thanks anyway.
Correct the system has a thermostat which regulates the 2 port valve which is set at 65 degrees. The water temperature is more than that so it sounds like its faulty but also there is a high limit switch (for safety) . This should turn the water off at the high limit (It may well be working as...
