Rain Drip sound on Sills of new Aluminium Windows

I’ve just had some new Aluminium Windows and Sliding Doors fitted by ExpressBifolds. What I had not expected is that they would be very noisy in the rain. My old windows were Hardwood and it seems the new noise is rain drips hitting the hollow Aluminium Sills. It’s on all the windows, so not...

VR65/VR66 for HW flow temp control

£15 plus postage if you would like it ?

VR65/VR66 for HW flow temp control

If you boiler is too old get the heating curve by d.043, it may also be that it’s too old to use the VRC470. I originally purchased a VRC430 thinking that would be ok to fit within the Boiler Facia to control the Heating Curve, but then found my boiler was too new (2017 I think) and so found the...

VR65/VR66 for HW flow temp control

I asked this of Vaillant Tech mid last year. This is what they advised. “If you wish to add weather compensation to your system then you could install a VRC 693 wired weather sensor and then connect it to X41 on the main PCB. You would then be able to adjust the heat curve in the diagnostic...

VR65/VR66 for HW flow temp control

Many thanks, I’ve been operating the Weather Comp even without the VRC470, all you need is the outside Temp Sensor that wires into the Boiler edge connector and you can set the Heating Curve within the relevant boiler d. Code. I had originally been hoping that the VRC470 may have been able to...

VR65/VR66 for HW flow temp control

Looks like I have solved it. For anybody else experiancing this the solution was to Toggle the Settinings under Installer / System / Domestic Hot Water/ Cylinder - Active to Inactive to Active again, then it all works. To be fair, having the VRC470 in the Facia as oposed to not having it, does...

VR65/VR66 for HW flow temp control

I have now added a VRC470 in the Facia of Boiler ecoTec 630. So the Setup is as others with - Nest 3rd Gen Theormostats for Heating Circuits - Nests Control Heating Zone Valves and the Boiler Switched Live RT (Terminals 3,4) - VR65 with Cyl Terminals (Grey, Orange) Without the VRC470 in the...

Grundfos Secondary HW Circulation Pump Head Replacment - Non Bronze Head

Yes, galvanic corrosion is my concern. I was wondering about the potential effect of dissimilar metals as they are at different levels but close on the galvanic scale. Given that Grundfos replaces the Bronze Pump with the Stainless pump I thought they may have issued some guidance on changing...

Grundfos Secondary HW Circulation Pump Head Replacment - Non Bronze Head

Checked with Grundfos Support and they don’t supply the Bronze 15-50 B 130 pumps any more. Now replaced by the Stainless 15-50 N 130. Anybody know if it’s OK to put a Stainless Pump Head on the Bronze Body ?

Grundfos Secondary HW Circulation Pump Head Replacment - Non Bronze Head

I have a Secondary HW Circulation Pump - Grundfos UPS 15-50 B 130 Bronze Selectric, the pump has failed. I also have a spare brand new Non Bronze UPS 15-50 130 in the garage. Can I replace the Bronze Pump Head with the Head of the Non Bronze ? Mechanically / electrically it’s a straight swap...

Is there a way to check Actual Modulation Level on Vaillant EcoTEC 630 ?

Hi, I have the ecoTEC plus 630 (VU 306/5-5 R2). I have the VR65 for DHW, but am using a NEST for UFH controls with the Boiler Flow set at 55 degrees. As flow temp increases towards 55, modulation increase (goes lower) but even when at 55 flow (d.40) for some time, the boiler is still running...

Vaillant heat only boiler + switched live thermostats + weather comp?

Blending valve is working perfectly with the input being reduced some of the return flow, but you still can’t force too much heat in to the floor and risk an overheated floor surface. 50 really is the max flow to the floor, Return flow is currently 46 so only 4 to 5 degrees drop within the floor.

Vaillant heat only boiler + switched live thermostats + weather comp?

My mixing valve that blends Return flow with Feed Flow, is still too High temp for the floor so I need to further reduce flow to about 50, but then 50 is insufficient for the Upper floor Radiators to warm the rooms. The upstairs rads emit best at about 65 degree. Since my last post, I’ve...
