    I don't have a picture for this, but when my neighbour moved in a couple of years ago, they had the electrics checked. The electrician found that the downstairs ring was terminated in two separate MCB's. I assume this is more bad practice than dangerous?

    I have a ceiling with textured paint. There are a few areas on the ceiling where blue tack has ripped off the textured paint. What is the best way of repairing these areas before I repaint the ceiling?

    It's definately copper, installed by my next door neighbour. He dug a hole in the concrete floor, soldered the new copper pipe onto the existing lead pipe, refilled the hole and relaid the concrete. Also, according to the electrics UK forum, should there be an earth wire attached to the water...

    You've got me a bit worried now. I had a new water main installed about 12 months ago. It comes up through a concrete floor and doesn't have anything wrapped around it.
