Thanks for your reply.... well the hairline cracks are mostly on the dividing wall and some on the archway to new extension they are like quite a few meandring... may be improper plastering i think..... BUT this damp thing is there as well... could it be causing them... and secondly would you...

Other then these multiple very thin hairline cracks on the same wall in the bathroom (Ground floor) there is a patch of pain peeled off dampness with bit of salt behind same on the other side of the wall where there is exit to Garden..... does anyone has similar or can anyone advice on what to do ?

Thanks for reassuring...... I was just a bit scared even the previous owners said they did plastering about 4 years ago during winter and thereafter they saw these ..... does anyone else here have similar ?
