my garage has one light - one switch...I want to add a switch - leaving me with one light two switches....what do I need to do......spur off existing switch??

I am replacing bath and sink taps...are they gonna be the same fitting as original taps on my bath - the house is four years old? Do the new tap packs come with those 'flexi hose' thingys?? is it easy..?

I have a new garage with exposed wiring clipped to the beams... Can I 'tap' into this wiring to create a new light and switch or do I have to go right back to the fuse box?
