I tried a bit harder and it worked but now the white buttons have failed to the bottom

That wasn’t a photo of mine. That’s what it should look like. In mine the white buttons are all stuck down. The white button is smooth and does not have a slot for screw driver. It just jammed down when I tried fiddling with screw driver

I am having trouble unscrewing my push button flush that looks like this. It only unscrews anticlockwise for a bit and then gets jammed. The white button in the middle has been pushed down and won’t come back up
