    Small update. I have solved the pillar issue by sacrificing space. I am going to use Celotex XR4120 (120mm) on the walls. I am then using 20mm battens and 25mm Celotex on the pillars which will make the whole wall one flat surface - effectively just buried the problem under insulation :LOL...
