    Aqualisa pumped digital shower problem

Been looking into this myself lately and the guys at Bristan recommend minimum of 25 gallon(115 litre cold storage). I have 20 gallon and to be on safe side purchased a 25 gallon one from Screwfix for 47.99. This then gives me equal hot and cold supplies as my HW cylinder is about 25 gallon...

    please help!

Right, so have done all that. Have now moved pump from return on rads to the flow just before 3 port valve, feed and vent come in prior to that. Turn on hot water and boiler is cutting out due to overheat. I can't see what is wrong now?!?!

    please help!

Thanks for all your advice. The reason i went for compression is i don't generally like using blow torch in such a confine space and believe me it is confined considering i can only just wedge myself between the cylinder and wall. Anyways, today is the day and i need to get this sorted so i...

    please help!

Hello I have just upgraded our semi gravity to a somewhat kind of working y plan system but i am having some problems which i think is to do with where the pump is situated. Setup is a potterton kingfisher 2 boiler with 1 x flow and 2 x returns(1 from hot water cylinder and one from rads). I...

    pump siting

Yeah, i was planning to keep the boiler and the pump in situ for now, sounds like it should be ok then. I will replace the boiler at a later stage. I understand i need to fit a bypass valve but how can i tell whether i need to or not with the boiler i have. Its an old potterton kingfisher mark 2...

    pump siting

Hi I am planning to upgrade my current gravity HW/pumped heating system to fully pumped y plan. There is a pump currently fitted on the return from the rads, can i leave this where it is or is it best to fit it to the flow pipework prior to the 3 port valve? Thanks! Adrian

installing two indirect hot water cylinders

ok thanks very much for the advice, Easter is coming up soon and i have the new bathroom to fit. Therefore i think i will continue with the way it is and get a shower which is suitable for low and high pressure and then move on to sorting out the rest of the plumbing in the house. Next...

installing two indirect hot water cylinders

I wouldn't mind betting that what i have is a gravity primary system. In order to upgrade like you say would i need to change the boiler or can i just add some pumps etc.. (after i have read into it some more :) )

installing two indirect hot water cylinders

When you say fully pumped heating system, the central heating has pump on it but i don't think when just the hot water is on that it has a pump on that. I am relatively new and not messed about with the central heating/hot water plumbing side at all really. I know plenty about...

installing two indirect hot water cylinders

installing two indirect hot water cylinders

Mmmm! I like the sound of that one. I will look into that for sure. Thanks for suggesting that. My main problem being is if we use the bath and empty the cylinder we usually have to wait well over an hour before the water is up to temperature again so we can use shower or do a few dishes maybe...

installing two indirect hot water cylinders

so basicly it will not work then, i thought as much really Although adding a common vent surely would not suck in air as the cylinder has a vent already. I understand the feed from the cylinders to the pump will need to be of surrey flange type or the like. Oh well maybe i should rethink my...
