    Just a quick question!!! I've noticed that all of the pipework in my house is earth bonded but my incoming gas pipe or any of the gas pipe serving my appliances are not! Should these pipes be earthed as well?

    Looking at the main fuse it would appear to be connected to the incoming neutral wire if that makes any sense!

    Sorry to be a bit thick but what do you mean by cpc's? The main earth cable originates from the an earth block on the side of the electricity boards incoming supply

    I have purchased a 9.5kw electric shower which recommends a 45amp fuse! My consumer unit is made by Contactum which only manufacture 40 or 50amp MCB's! I was told its best to go for the 50amp as the 40 would trip.... Is this correct?
