    Vokera Excel i 25

Main reason for looking at a new boiler is due to the cycling, figured if I'm replacing it I might as well try and get the system running as efficiently as possible. Would I be right in thinking the easiheat i is the same as the excel i?

Thanks, which models include the delta t pump? I will be looking to replace the boiler next year fingers crossed and want to get something which will modulate low enough for my system and maintenance the 20c differential. Not too fussed about the filling loop, WiFi, insulation and bluetooth. I...

Hi Everyone, Can anyone tell me more about this boiler? I can't seem to find a manual for it. It looks like it's only available at wolseley so am I right in thinking it will just be a rebrand of a different model like the vibe max with a different looking case and warranty? I am looking to...

Looking at a new combi boiler

Ideal been out since 2009, I guess the key thing is with gas being discontinued slowly there not going to put much effort into combi boilers with a lower output on CH. Fingers crossed this opentherm kit for my boiler works treat. I don't think the logic 2 is too much different over the older...

Looking at a new combi boiler

It looks better on paper then another budget ideal, agreed the modulation rate isn't great given the heat output needed for most homes. You think both ideal and baxi would bring out something that goes lower then 4.9kw. The biggest problem with the ideal is once it modulated as low as it will go...

Looking at a new combi boiler

No worries, I wish they was just the one budget model of the logic to make things more simple. Have the classic, esprit, instinct, exclusive, imini, independent and altantic.

The instinct doesn't say anything about opentherm in the manual, however the instinct 2 does. Looking at them their are almost the same. Ideal have agreed to help me with the part number for the part I need for the loom/weather compensation.

Looking at a new combi boiler

I can update that I picked up a second hand boiler which had a good heat exchanger and my friend has since swapped this over. However I am now looking into opentherm. My boiler is a instinct 24 which has the weather compensation option which can be wired onto the X7 connector on the mainboard...

Looking at a new combi boiler

Costing wise I'm not going to save anything on gas as my current boiler is rated the same as the newer ones. I might have a lead on second hand boiler for beer money which has the same heat ex as mine so I am tempted to look at that option first given it's just the heat ex leaking and I have the...

Looking at a new combi boiler

My budget won't go to a logic, I would be looking at a more budget version such as the instinct. My understanding the newer logic still can't be range rated etc?

Looking at a new combi boiler

Another thing to note is my system is all piped in copper and all the radiator pipework comes out of the skirting boards in 10mm copper. Everything works great no problems. I didn't know if this would make any difference?

Thanks for your input Notch7, I am put off by another ideal due to nothing in the menu system to limit the output etc. I will look into the main with a bit more detail.
