Hi, I want to install 2 FCU's for a washer and dishwasher but have only 1 single socket to do it from. Is the best solution to spur another single socket off the original socket and then wire a FCU to each single socket? Thanks.

Thanks now sorted however when I removed front from socket it was connected to I noticed the back box wasn't connected by an earth to the metal front plate. Would you change the back box and earth it to be on the safe side?

Hi, I have a socket that is unused and therefore I want to remove it. It only has 1 grey cable running into it. Is it ok to simply remove the socket and remove the wires from where they are running from ( another socket 2 foot away) ?

I tried RED to COM, BLACK to L1 with both cables, didnt work. I have now wired : CABLE 1 RED to COM BLACK to L1 CABLE 2 RED to L1 BLACK taped off and linked the two COMs together with RED link wire. Does this sound ok, it makes both lights work but is it safe?
