yes it is just above the hot water cylinder.
I actually just did a test and realise that after letting the water run quite a bit, it is indeed hot but as well that the flow is better and decent enough to use if I remove the "head" of the tap. I don't know why I have not thought about removing...
Thanks, I have started to look 0.1bar taps following all the comments but will try to check first if it is a block.
It's a flat on the first floor, tank is in the corridor next to the kitchen so a few steps away.
but if there was an airlock, I would have the same problem in the bathroom sink no? Bathroom sink works fine, i get hot water there.
I took note about your comment on the immersion heater.
Thanks. Does it mean that having a tap mixer is not recommended when you have a hot water cylinder? Is there a way to fix the problem without having to change the tap?
You are right, I checked and it says "Minimum 0.5 bar, 1 bar is recommended"...
The installer was recommended by a friend...
the cold flow is same as before, I have a lot of pressure. For the hot water, a little flow comes out when I open the tap ( see photo ) and it is not hot but cold.
Hello,
Last year I had a new sink and tap installed in my kitchen. I went from separate taps for cold and hot water to a mixer. Since then I do not get hot water in my kitchen. A tiny bit of water come out and not even hot. The cold part work very well and full pressure.
What do you think...
