Thanks, just wanted to make sure...if all goes well wife and daughters will be able to have a hot bath tonight!
Thanks all for the help - have a great Christmas
Got home late last night but managed to quickly disconnect the pump and you are absolutely right, there is another arrow on the head which is pointing the wrong way! Although it looks identical it seems like I have ordered the wrong pump somehow...
Is it possible to unscrew the pump head and...
Am at work so will need to check the direction when I get home, but I looked at the old one and new one last night to confirm that they are completely identical - direction of arrows included!
Will update on the direction tomorrow as am away with work tonight
The entire pump, I literally disconnected it, pulled it out and put the new one in exactly the same position
The new pump is identical to the old one (make, model etc)
Thank you all for the replies however I'm 100% sure the pump is in the right way. Due to the design of the pump (the electrical connections are on one side) it won't physically fit the other way up, plus I simply took the old one out and replaced it with an identical one, installing it in the...
They're identical wilo pumps, I literally swapped one for the other but didn't rotate the head to line anything up - just wired it in. Wondering if I might have knocked some limescale loose while fitting it which has caused a blockage?
The head is pointing up, tbh I don't think you could get it to fit upside down just because of the shape of it. Have loosened the screw and got water out, I did check it was rotating before I put the water back on initially, seemed ok?
Pump is the same way around as the old one, happy it's going the right way. If it's a blockage what's the best way of clearing it?
Thanks for the help!
Yes, all the lights are behaving as they should be. It just runs for five minutes without the heat exchanger getting even warm before the overheat cut off activates. Was wondering if it might be a thermistor?
