so any ideas how to put this right so we can just have a shower without worrying about using a tap at the same time?

sorry , i should have said earlier this is a gravity fed system , the cold water tank is in the the attic . i assume the cold water drops into the hot water tank , gets heated up an then gets pumped to the shower which is on the same floor.

i`l do my best, if you take the original pipework for the bath ,hes fitted the pipes for the shower to these with some adjustable valves, the pipes for the shower run underneath the bath then connect to the shower pump before going up the wall to the shower controls, this is for both...

sorry mate i did say i don`t know much about this and gave the best description i could.

mostly it has since the the shower pump was fitted, basically you have to wait 20mins after running a tap , or the the shower pump will go off. or if you put the shower pump on and then flushed the loo the pump would cut out after 30 seconds. his way of describing it was the cold water...
