Hello all. I’ve had a productive afternoon. Replaced the 15mm vertical copper pipe with PEX. Into the 22 x 15 tee from the main hot feed. No leaks (so far) and we have hot water in the kitchen.
In the boxed in section the pipe had a straight coupler followed by an isolation valve. Having...
How far apart can the clips be? There is only about a meter of boxing in until the the pipes enter the corner cupboard. So could add clips above and below the box section.
Ah right. We can rule that out. It’s not a tee to the kitchen it’s a 22-15 soldered reducer then 3 elbows tho get it to the vertical 15mm into the kitchen below. I’ve took this out and put a stop end on and put a compression tee (22-15) in the line closer to the boiler, made no difference.
About a meter visible but it goes into a boxed in section that I can just about see through the cobwebs. I’ll vacuum the boxes in section tomorrow and try to find a valve
As far as I can tell the only isolation valve is the one I fitted to connect copper to flexi at the tap. However, this problem was present before the new taps I put in last week. I thought the problem may have been the taps, alas it was not.
