It's a pellet boiler that's a self contained unit. Works on the returning water temp as rads shut down the returning water gets hotter so less heat is produced by the boiler until it shuts down, when returning water cools it starts up again.
RM Cylinders dual thermostat can it be wired to operate as a on and off for a zone valve with out any connection to the programmer/control of the boiler ? If yes how would it need to be wired?
My thinking on the system:
Heat dump radiator in the loft space.
Pressure relief valve to the outside.
Header take to replace and loss to the system and dump for any over heated water.
Heat coil to supply hot water.
Some valve set-up to send all heated water when thermal store is at...

So folks know where I'm coming from with this, the house is rural and isolated no gas - electric is unreliable oil far to expensive, wood is the only real option. Gas/oil would be so much easier.

ianmcd - Could you be a little more constructive an maybe try to input something a little more positive. You may or may not have a vast knowledge on all things heating, where as I have very little and trying to understand what seems to be a very complicated system to me.
