Totally agree with what you've said, and I do just that concerning EICRs, I was referring to installation works I carry out but didn't make myself clear. My bad.
I know BS7671 are minimum requirements, fitting of fan isolators are normally in the manufacturers literature, or at least in the ones I fit. Think the spirit of my work is to provide easy maintenance, a safe way for local isolation, sadly some diyers may turn off the wrong circuit when trying...

I discussed with a lecturer on 18th edition course.... he said that there was a danger and although very unlikely the body would complete the circuit and depending on the resistance of skin (wet or dry) potentially prove fatal.
Could it be he was thinking 1 isolating transformer to 2 seperate...
Just trying to get my head around this one.. discovered two shaver sockets in a bathroom, 1 in a cabinet, 1 wall mounted. Both sources from same circuit.
