    Hi Chris, Its a wall mounted potterton suprima 40. Which is a balanced flue fan assisted boiler. As far as I know it is none pressurised. I will check the water level of the expansion tank when i look at the pump which is in the loft...

    Guess a blocked pump would seem to make sense as obviously the flow through the boiler would be virtualy non existent and it would overheat possibly producing steam pronto..... Thanks jason I will check this out . Chrisogreero
