    Thanks for the response! I've started stripping it and seems there are two further layers of lining paper. So it's a pin, but it's coming off slowly. Only issue is the walls are lined too, so it's difficult not to pull of the top of the wall, see picture! If I continue like this, can I use...

    Hi, My dad thought this may be artex, painter and decorator has said textured wall paper. I want to remove it, but if it is artex I'm obviously concerned about asbestos. Any thoughts?
